Rio Branco is experiencing a moment of transformation, marked by projects that have the power to change not only the urban panorama, but also the economic future of the city. With this development aim, through the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure and Urban Mobility, this Saturday morning (21), carried out a technical visit to the works of the Agroindustrial Hub, the soy milk industry known as “Mechanical Cow”, and the Mamedio Bittar Viaduct.
The municipal secretary of Infrastructure and Urban Mobility of Rio Branco, Cid Ferreira, was present on this visit, who accompanied the Secretariat’s technical team in the works. The visit was also attended by the director of Actions of the Mayor’s Office, Jesus de Oliveira Cruz, the consultant Sérgio Silva and the special secretary of Communication, Ailton Oliveira.

Agroindustrial Hub: Work intensification phase
Cid Ferreira highlighted the progress of works at the Agroindustrial Complex, which is already 80% to 85% complete. “The warehouses are ready, the hoppers too, which are the structures where the rice, beans and corn processing machines will be installed. The installation of this equipment will begin on Monday”, explained the secretary.
Ferreira also mentioned that work at the site has been intense and that infrastructure works, such as dryers and the installation of two substations, are underway.
“The perspective is that the Polo will be ready for opening on the first Monday in March, as determined by Mayor Tião Bocalom”, stated Cid Ferreira.

“Mechanical Cow” Soy Milk Industry in Final Stage
Regarding the soy milk industry, Cid Ferreira also brought good news. “All equipment is already available on site. We will start installing the production part this Monday (23)”, said the secretary.
The expectation is that, within 10 to 15 days, the installation will be completed, allowing the unit to start operating. The industry, popularly known as “Mechanical Cow”, is an important milestone for the local economy, bringing innovation and job creation to the region.
Mamedio Bittar Viaduct: Beautification and urban planning works
The visit also included the Mamedio Bittar Viaduct, which is already ready, but is still undergoing adjustments to its finishing and urban planning work. Ferreira highlighted that, as with the Beth Bocalom Viaduct, the objective is to transform the space not only functionally, but also visually.
“It’s not just concrete and steel. It has to be beautiful. The mayor always says that we are transforming Rio Branco into a capital that is proud of its aesthetics”, he declared.
At the moment, the team is working on installing water features under the viaduct and detailing the landscaping in the area. “The lower part of the viaduct is expected to be ready in 20 to 25 days. Furthermore, the painting of the hardware and the installation of ACM (Metal Composite Acrylic) will contribute to the durability and beauty of the viaduct”, explained Ferreira.

Legacy to Capital
Cid Ferreira also commented on the legacy that Mayor Tião Bocalom is leaving for Rio Branco. “These works are fundamental to the future of the city. The mayor determined that they be delivered within his mandate and these improvements will be a lasting milestone for our capital”, said the secretary.
With the accelerated pace of works, the deliveries expected for the month of March represent an important advance for Rio Branco’s infrastructure, directly impacting economic development and citizens’ quality of life.
