Tarcísio avoids answering about vice suspect of laundering – 02/21/2026 – Politics

The governor of , (Republicans), left an interview after the event this Saturday (21) without answering a question about (), under suspicion of money laundering.

Ramuth and his wife, Vanessa, are the target of investigations in Andorra, a European country located between France and Spain and which was once .

They indicate that the couple would have moved more than US$1.6 million (R$8.3 million, at current prices) in an AndBank account, in transfers of “funds arising from illicit activities”. The investigation was revealed this Friday (20) by the Metrópoles website and confirmed by Sheet.

On Saturday morning, the governor participated in an event to inaugurate a Citizenship Square in Embu das Artes, metropolitan region of São Paulo.

At the end of the event, the communications department of the São Paulo government stated that Tarcísio would answer one question per vehicle, which would be asked in a specific queue before the start of the interview, and asked the topic of each question to the journalists. It was informed that the Sheet intended to question the governor regarding the investigations into Ramuth.

The governor answered five questions. In the last one, he heard a question about deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Banco Master’s investigations.

This Friday, the vice-governor denied any irregularity and stated that he had provided all the necessary clarifications to the Andorra authorities. He also said that all resources were duly declared to the IRS.

The Government of São Paulo stated in a statement released on Friday that there was no open process in Brazil regarding the case. “There is no accusation against the vice-governor and his wife, nor any process opened in Brazil, but rather an investigation into the aforementioned bank AndBank. All clarifications on the case have already been provided directly in Andorra, with no new hearing scheduled and no new facts. All resources have been duly declared, as well as all taxes paid.”
