The judges of the Seguro Direto Car of the Year/Troféu Volante de Cristal 2026 had the opportunity to drive all the registered models on the Estoril track
The 2026 Car of the Year/Volante de Cristal Trophy Direct Insurance enters its most decisive phase. After individual tests with all the models registered, in what was the edition with the most entries ever, the judges had the opportunity to test all the competitors on the Estoril Circuit track.
The seven finalists will now be revealed, from which the successor to the Citroën C3 will emerge. The winner will be announced on March 10th, as will the winners of each of the eight classes: City, Design, Sports/Leisure, Electric, Family, Plug-in Hybrid, Compact SUV (includes crossovers) and Large SUV.
On that occasion the Executive Committee of the Direct Insurance Car of the Year/Troféu Volante de Cristal 2026 will also award the Career Award and the Technology and Innovation Award.
