Acre has the 3rd highest dengue incidence rate in the country, according to the Ministry of Health

The state currently ranks third in Brazil in the incidence rate of probable dengue cases in 2026. With a rate of 87.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the state is behind only Tocantins (273.4) and Goiás (222.9), according to the most recent data released by health authorities.

Despite the warning regarding the incidence, Acre has recorded 770 probable cases of the disease to date, with no record of confirmed deaths or those under investigation. The lethality, both in probable and serious cases, is 0%.

Across Brazil, there are already 77,054 probable cases of dengue registered in 2026. The country has 10 confirmed deaths from the disease and 94 deaths still under investigation. The national incidence coefficient is 36.3 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

The fatality rate in probable cases in the country is 0.01%, while among serious cases it reaches 1.06%.

Profile two non-Acre cases

In the state, men represent the majority of probable cases, with 52% of notifications, while women account for 48%.

Regarding declared race/color, 91.3% of cases were registered among white people. Yellow people represent 3.8% of notifications; brown, 1.0%; indigenous people, 0.8%; black, 0.5%; and 1.2% were classified as ignored.
