The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), announced this Monday (23) that he had received two proposals from companies interested in building the new administrative headquarters of the government of São Paulo, in the Campos de Elíseos region, central area of the capital. The official auction will take place next Thursday (26) at B3 headquarters.
“We received two proposals and this means that we will have the auction on Thursday with competition between two groups. And this is fundamental, because one of our bets for the revitalization of the Center is precisely this auction”, he highlighted. “We will have a successful auction and on Thursday we will meet the winning company that will be responsible for making this major investment in urban transformation”, he concluded.
The company that wins the auction will be responsible for constructing several buildings to house São Paulo government agencies, in addition to restoring 17 buildings in the region. Palácio dos Bandeirantes will remain the official residence of the governor of São Paulo, but the seat of government will be transferred to Palácio dos Campos Elíseos.
Opportunity with security!
The region, close to the Cracolândia flow, has been devalued and vandalized in recent years with the increase in drug users and homeless people, which motivated the change proposed by Tarcísio.
The works are expected to begin next year and be delivered from 2028. The contract includes the administration and care of approximately 60 thousand m² for 30 years.
The first proposal was presented by the consortium of Brazilian companies RZK Empreendimentos Imobiliários, M4 Investimentos, Zetta Infraestrutura, Engemat and Iron Property.
