A well-known Slovakian caught the attention of the Stranger Things star at the Olympic venue: He will tell you what he wrote about the actor!

The semi-final hockey match at the Winter Olympics in Italy brought an unexpected moment. Fans of the popular series Stranger Things were jumping for joy, as actor Gaten Matarazzo also came to Milan to enjoy this sporting experience. The young man, who played Dustin Henderson in the Netflix hit, was caught in the middle of the action by Markíza TV.

The American came to see with his own eyes the semifinal match between Slovakia and the USA at the 2026 Olympics. The 23-year-old actor revealed how he felt before the match. “Oh my god, I’m looking forward to it. It will be fun. I’m looking forward to it. I think it’s going to be harder than people think. Slafkovsky looks like a beast so I’m scared of him, but it should be fun. It will be great” he said of one of our best players.

He believed Team USA would beat us, but he wasn’t 100 percent sure. “I think I might get old doing this. But who knows? But hey, I think so. That’s a goal on our end, but hey, good luck. It should be fun, right?” he stated excitedly. The Slovak hockey players finally lost to the favored Americans 2:6.

Matarazzo caused quite a stir in Milan, but the fame doesn’t seem to bother him yet. He took pictures with fans with a big smile. Slovak comedian, actor and presenter Mojmír Procházka also took a joint selfie with the actor. He posted the photo on his Instagram account, but enhanced it with his humor.

Gaten wanted a photo with me in Milan at the hockey game. He asked about Zrebny (influencer and comedian Matej Zrebný, editor’s note). He wanted to know if I could handle a role in Family Cases. I told him that he had to go through the production Alenka from Stropkov,” joked Procházka. You can find their shot in the photo gallery.
