Hours after he was the rapporteur, the federal deputy (PP-SP) visited former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in Papudinha, as the prison in which he is held in Brasília is known. The initiative for the meeting came from Bolsonaro himself.
The main agenda is the October election, in which Derrite must run for São Paulo. His running mate for the other vacancy is still open, and the topic must be discussed with Bolsonaro.
Several PL politicians aim to run for office, such as federal deputies Marcos Feliciano, Mário Frias and Rosana Valle and state deputy Gil Diniz. Another possibility is deputy and former minister Ricardo Salles (Novo).
Bolsonaro has dedicated himself to building candidatures for the Senate, which he places as a priority in the election, since it is the House where impeachment proceedings against ministers of the Federal Supreme Court are being processed.
