The most current cosmetic trend is the “bitten lip effect”, which involves emphasizing the lips and giving them an intense color. Thanks to this, the face looks extremely radiant. To achieve this effect, you will need a home-made mask that enlarges your lips for a few hours. It will be perfect before an important event or a photo session. There is nothing stopping you from using it every day, but a maximum of 2 times a week.
In stores you will find various cosmetics that are aimed at… However, we do not have to overpay because we can make such a mask using only 3 home products.
What ingredients do we need for a lip enlargement mask? Here’s a short list:
- a pinch of cayenne pepper;
- a pinch of cinnamon;
- 5 ml of Vaseline or vegetable oil.
Pepper and cinnamon stimulate blood vessels, which is why they cause slight swelling. In turn, Vaseline and vegetable oil constitute a base that facilitates the distribution of the mixture.

To make a lip enlargement mask, just mix these 3 ingredients until you obtain a uniform consistency. However, we need to know how to apply it correctly.
So, apply the resulting paste evenly on your lips, without going beyond their contour. Leave it for 5 minutes and then wipe it off with a cotton pad or a tissue.. After this action, they will become highlighted and have a vivid color.
After applying the mask, you may feel a slight burning sensation, which is completely normal. This phenomenon is related to warming spices dilating the blood vessels in the mouth. Thanks to this, their appearance changes.
Of course, it is best if we perform an allergy test on a small part of the skin. If the burning sensation is severe, skip this home treatment. In turn, people with chapped, cracked lips, cold sores, sensitive skin or an allergy to cinnamon should avoid it completely.
