United States President Donald Trump will use the State of the Union address to celebrate 250 years of Independence.
“The President will make some announcements of new policies,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in an interview with Fox News, without providing further details, while stating that the proposals will address the crisis inherited from predecessor Joe Biden.
“The president will share stories about the great American heroes who exemplify the courage and spirit of 1776 and will present the record-breaking achievements of his administration over the past year, while outlining the agenda to continue to make the American dream more attainable and accessible for the working class,” said the White House spokeswoman when discussing some aspects of the speech that will take place this Tuesday (24).

Leavitt also said that there will be moments “that make us cry”, as well as others of lightness and hope.
The spokeswoman said First Lady Melania Trump will be joined by two children as part of her campaign to promote the future. The president also invited extraordinary people to exemplify what it means to be patriotic, he said.
Leavitt also addressed the issue of violence in Mexico, citing that the government was not aware at the time of the interview of Americans being shot, kidnapped or killed.
