Marketer Paulo Vasconcelos agreed that he will carry out Mateus Simões’ pre-campaign () for the government of Minas Gerais. Simões is the current vice-president of Romeu Zema (Novo) and is expected to take office in April, with the incumbent resigning to run for President.
Vasconcelos should also provide communications consultancy to Simões when he takes over the government. The publicist is close to several politicians in the state, including the current Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira (PSD-MG).
Simões will be the opponent of the candidate from , in Minas Gerais. The president finalizes the last details to launch the senator into the state government.
Pacheco takes care of the last details to leave the PSD and must join União Brasil, if he accepts Lula’s invitation to become a candidate.
