The Verdelago Resort, located between Altura and Praia Verde, in the municipality of Castro Marim, reopens on March 14th, marking the beginning of a new tourist season in the Eastern Algarve. The unit resumes activity with stay proposals aimed at different guest profiles, including a program designed for experiences for two.
Located in a pine forest setting with direct access to the beach via wooden walkways, the project begins this phase with the possibility of scheduling stays for the coming months, framing the reopening as part of a project consolidation strategy.
According to the press release from , the resumption of tourist operations also marks the beginning of a new phase of development. In the coming months, the resort plans to launch experiences associated with nature, well-being and lifestylereinforcing the objective of attracting visitors throughout the year.
According to the same source, an expanded calendar of activities and events is also being prepared for this year, seen as decisive for the consolidation of the project and for a more regular and structured schedule.
Gastronomy gains centrality
One of the main novelties of this stage is the integration of chef Louis Anjos into the gastronomic leadership of the enterprise. The chef is developing a concept from scratch, based on seasonality and local produce, which will be progressively implemented in different restaurant spaces.
Gastronomy now assumes a central role in the experience provided by the resort, with its own identity and aligned with the territory, based on coherence, sustainability and the appreciation of the region’s products.
Program designed for two
Among the proposals available in this reopening, the package stands out Romance Escape. The program includes one night’s accommodation in a 1-bedroom apartment for two people, VIP treatment on arrival with fresh fruit or strawberries with chocolate truffles and sparkling wine, as well as romantic decoration in the room.
The statement states that the experience also includes a three-course dinner with pairings, to be held at the Salicornia restaurant or at the Beach Club, in addition to breakfast served in the room. The possibility of early check-in e late check-out subject to availability, as well as the option of private dining in the Dome, set in the pine forest.
Alongside the romantic proposal, the program Discover Verdelago suggests a two-night stay. Includes VIP treatment upon arrival, breakfast in the room and a three-course dinner with food pairings during the stay.
Guests who purchase this package will be able to use bicycles to explore the natural surroundings, maintaining environmental conditions. early check-in e late check-out subject to availability.
Special conditions and project size
In parallel, the resort offers advance booking conditions throughout the year, with the exception of July and August. Stays of a minimum of three nights benefit from a 25% discount and stays of five nights or more benefit from a 30% discount on the special online rate. In the summer months, stays of a minimum of five nights have a 15% discount and stays of seven nights have a 20% discount.
Verdelago currently includes tourist residential units, restaurants and leisure and sports infrastructure, and the five-star hotel is still under construction. The project extends over approximately 86 hectares, with low building density and a strong presence of green spaces, including pedestrian and bicycle trails, recreation and leisure park, seaside nature reserve, orchard, vegetable garden and areas dedicated to environmental conservation.
In total, 340 tourist residential units and a hotel with 197 rooms are planned, as well as sports courts, space for events and family support services. The project involves several entities in the areas of architecture, landscaping, engineering, energy efficiency and conservation of fauna and flora, forming part of a sustainable development strategy.
