The president of the , (-AP), told the president’s allies () that he will analyze a possible request to annul the breach of confidentiality by the president’s son Fábio Luís, the ,
After the vote that authorized the breach, parliamentarians from the government base went to the official residence in Alcolumbre to try to invalidate the approval, alleging that there was fraud in the vote count.
In view of this, the President of the House instructed them to formally file the objection, with the Presidency of the Senate, and attach all the evidence they claim to have, such as images, photos and videos.
From this point on, the Presidency will analyze the material, with the support of the House Attorney’s Office, the Legislative Police and the General Secretariat of the Board, and will deliberate based on the Internal Regulations of the Senate.
If Alcolumbre agrees to the request, all requests approved in the session will be considered invalid.
Representative Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), who led the delegation to Alcolumbre, even stated that he would denounce senator Carlos Viana (PSD-MG), who chairs the committee, on the ethics council, for conducting the vote.
Lulinha’s breach of confidentiality was approved in a larger package of requests that was voted on symbolically – that is, without counting votes.
In this type of deliberation, the president of the collegiate asks those who oppose the requirements to speak out and, if they are in the minority, declares the matter as approved.
Government members stated that they had a majority in the vote, but they could not request verification of the result – that is, a new vote in which those present speak individually and the support is counted electronically – because a similar verification had been carried out, at the request of the opposition, in a vote held shortly before.
During the session, some parliamentarians clashed and had to be separated. The confusion began when government allies tried to protest at the board of directors and the opposition reacted.
Deputy Luiz Lima (Novo-RJ) claimed to have been hit by punches and deputy Rogério Correia (PT-MG) stated that he hit him unintentionally, when he was pushed, and apologized.
Lulinha is the target of the CPI for the alleged , known as “Careca do INSS”, accused of having facilitated undue discounts on the pensions of INSS beneficiaries. The lobbyist allegedly ordered a payment of R$300,000 to a businesswoman who is a friend of Lulinha.
