A company bus overturned on Thursday night (26) at km 15, on the stretch that connects Sena Madureira to Rio Branco. The accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to the first information obtained.
According to reports from people who were at the scene, the bus left the road before collapsing on the side of the highway, causing moments of tension among passengers. The exact causes of the accident are yet to be clarified by the responsible authorities.
At the time of the accident, the bus was transporting passengers, but, according to preliminary information, there were no reports of serious injuries. A team from the Fire Department of the 6th Education, Protection and Fighting Forest Fires Battalion (6th BEPCIF) was called and was on site to provide care to the victims and ensure safety in the area until the vehicle was removed.
The Federal Highway Police must also investigate the circumstances of the incident, in order to clarify the causes of the rollover and verify whether factors such as track conditions, possible mechanical failure or other elements contributed to the accident.
