Marco Antonio Ricciardelli, o Marquito do “Mouse Program”underwent surgery lasting approximately four hours at the Nipo-Brasileiro hospital, in São Paulo, after the motorcycle accident he suffered last Wednesday (25), in which he broke his rib. The information was released by the SBT press office.
He suffered a sudden illness while riding and hit the motorcycle of a nurse, who provided first aid. The delicate procedure was carried out on Friday afternoon (27). “Marquito’s surgery went according to plan and without complications. His clinical condition is considered stable,” the broadcaster reported this Saturday (28).
Cássio, who rode Marquito’s motorcycle during the accident and provided the first assistance to the comedian, before the firefighter arrived, said in “Fofocalizando” on Friday (27) that the comedian had no pulse and revived him, which may have saved his life.
“He was totally unconscious, he couldn’t speak, he was bleeding a lot from his nose, he raised his arms two or three times trying to put his hand over his face, a good sign,” added the nurse. According to the program, he also suffered facial injuries and was taken to the Japanese-Brazilian hospital “conscious and disoriented” and placed in for examination.
Milva, the comedian’s wife, told the attraction that Marquito is well and receiving appropriate treatment. “No one still knows why (he fainted), because he doesn’t have high blood pressure, heart problems, he plays football, diabetes is controlled. He had one,” he said.
The Nipo-Brasileiro Hospital confirmed the hospitalization in a statement sent to CNN Brazilbut does not intend to disclose information about the comedian’s health status. “Out of respect for medical confidentiality and in accordance with the ethical standards that govern the relationship between institution and patient, HNIPO will not comment on the details of the case. We reiterate our commitment to transparency, care and reception, and remain at the disposal of patients and their families to continue the necessary follow-up and clarify any doubts.” This Saturday, he informed that the next information about his health status will only be released by the SBT press office.
Who is Marquito?
he has had a career on television since he was young, when he was invited by his uncle to imitate a robot — Robogildo — in the segment “O Que É o Que É” on the Sunday program led by the veteran.
According to the Brazilian Museum of Radio and Television, he was born in 1960, in São Paulo. Marquito has worked in circuses, is an actor, comedian and was also a councilor — elected in 2013, by the PTB (Brazilian Labor Party).
He worked with Edson “Bolinha” Cury, in “Clube do Bolinha”, shown on Rede Bandeirantes from 1974 to 1994, where he performed imitation singers, in a different rotation than the original.
In the late 1990s, it became part of the fixed cast of attractions led by Ratinho, still on Record and, later, on SBT, becoming a trademark of the program.
Despite all the “torture” he suffers on stage (baths in ice water and flour, for example), Marquito has stated in interviews that everything is strictly professional and that he and the presenter are great friends off camera.
