Romana Tabaková scared fans: VIDEO with blindfolded eyes! What happened?

Former tennis player and member of the National People’s Republic of Slovakia Romana Tabaková (34), who currently works as an assistant to deputy Dušan Muňek, openly talks about her life on social networks. Now she really scared her followers when she published a VIDEO in which she has both eyes taped. What happened to her?

The former member of parliament briefly revealed that she underwent upper eyelid surgery, professionally called blepharoplasty. This is the most common aesthetic procedure in the facial area. People reach for it especially when the sagging skin on their eyelids makes them look tired, sad or angry. In some cases, however, it is not just about aesthetics. Excess skin can interfere with the field of vision and impair vision.

This is the first known aesthetic change that Tabaková underwent. In 2023, she spoke openly about her struggle with acne. The specialist then revealed that her acne was caused by an allergy to garlic, paprika and milk.

Tabaková had herself modified in Banská Bystrica. However, she did not reveal the details of the procedure or the reason why she decided to take this step. You can see the footage in the video above the article and in the gallery. The procedure is usually recommended for patients over forty, when the skin naturally loses elasticity, but younger people with a genetic predisposition are no exception. Sagging eyelids may not only be the result of aging, but also of heredity or lifestyle.

The operation itself usually takes place under local anesthesia and lasts approximately 45 to 90 minutes. The surgeon makes an incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid to make the scar as little visible as possible after healing. Subsequently, it removes excess skin, or even a small amount of fat, which causes a swollen appearance. The wound is then sewn up with fine stitches. These are usually picked after 5 to 7 days. Most patients return to their normal routine after about a week, but it may take several weeks for the swelling to disappear completely.
