The former president said he regretted criticism made by names on the right of the former first lady (PL) and allies.
In a letter released this Sunday (1) by deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) on social media, Bolsonaro stated that the “coveted vacancies” for the 2026 elections must be defined through dialogue instead of pressure and attacks between allies.
The document was published after former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) stated that Michelle and Nikolas’ support for Flávio Bolsonaro, who should run for the Presidency for the PL, and amid the internal dispute for influence in the PL.
“I regret the criticism from the right itself directed at some colleagues and my wife”, states an excerpt from the letter that was written in , where the former president serves as State.
“I asked Michelle to get involved in politics after March 26, as she is too busy caring for our daughter Laura, who recently had surgery, as well as caring for me”, the document signed by the former president also states.
In the same letter, Bolsonaro says: “In a majority campaign, as well as for the coveted Senate seats, support must come through dialogue and persuasion, never through pressure or attacks between allies.”
The letter was published on the date that Nikolas, on Avenida Paulista. He announced the “Wake up, Brazil” demonstration on February 12, under the motto “Out, Lula, Moraes and Toffoli”.
A Bolsonarist wing considers that it is not strategic to prioritize the impeachment of the minister of the Federal Supreme Court. For this group, the focus should be on amnesty for the January 8 protesters and freedom for the former president.

On Saturday (28), Michelle Bolsonaro had released another letter in which Bolsonaro announced his support for Marcos Pollon’s (PL) candidacy for the Senate for Mato Grosso do Sul. The document was released after one made by Flávio Bolsonaro during a summit meeting with opinions on the possible candidates.
