If the Prime Minister of the SR Robert Fico (Smer-SD) received an invitation to a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Ukrainian soil, he should accept it and go there. This was stated by the Vice President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and the President of the Slovak Republic in the discussion show Politika 24 on Joj 24 television. Andrej Danko.
“If I got such an offer, I can’t imagine not going there,” said Danko in response to the Prime Minister’s opinion that he would prefer a meeting with the Ukrainian President in a neutral place. Danko also added that, at such a meeting, he would request an inspection of the Druzhba oil pipeline, which Ukraine presents as damaged to the extent that it does not allow the transit of oil.
To date, Ukraine’s refusal to inspect the damaged site indicates to Danko that the pipeline is not damaged beyond “repair”. At the same time, he indicated that the case of the Druzhba oil pipeline may have a similar background to the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipeline, referring to sources from Hungary.
