The Prime Minister of Israel, , stated this Sunday (1st) that the country began a broad military campaign against Iran, using “the full strength” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The statement was made amid the worsening conflict in the Middle East.
According to Netanyahu, the offensive aims to neutralize threats considered strategic to Israeli security, including targets linked to the nuclear program and the Iranian military structure. The prime minister also stated that operations will continue “for as long as necessary”.
The new stage of the confrontation comes after a series of attacks attributed to Israel and against Iranian installations, which provoked reactions from Tehran and raised the level of tension in the region. International analysts assess that the intensification of military actions increases the risk of a confrontation of greater proportions, with possible global impacts.
