Lorna Harris (52) no longer feels the fear of death. In the summer of 2023, she overcame a heart attack and experienced something extraordinary in the back of an ambulance. In the early hours of the morning, she was struck by chest pain and could hardly breathe, but she managed to call an ambulance. She crawled to the front door so the paramedics could get in and do an EKG, reports .
After arriving at the scene and initial examinations, the paramedics informed her that she was suffering from a heart attack. She was immediately loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. “Suddenly I was surrounded by a wall of beautiful, shimmering white sparks and lights. I saw myself from above, as if I were a drone hovering above me. I watched as they took me out of the ambulance and quickly pushed me on a wheelchair through the corridor,” she described the unique moment.
Lorna then saw a doctor who performed CPR on her. Presently the surgeon arrived. “He was wearing a brightly colored ‘jazz’ scarf and Vans sneakers. I saw myself half-naked on the table and felt embarrassed. The surgeon mentioned my light pink pajama pants that they had taken off me earlier and instructed the nurse to pack them for me. I can still see every centimeter of that room, the color of the walls and the faces of the doctors.” she stated.
She claims that she was aware of her death at the time, but instead of being terrified, she experienced the most peaceful sleep of her life. It has a reassuring message for all who fear the end. “I felt nothing but absolute peace,” she explained. She later recovered in the cardiac care unit, although it seemed to her only a few minutes. The nurse explained to her that a blood clot had been removed from her heart. Lorna survived a heart attack and two cardiac arrests, clinically dying for several minutes.
She recounted her experience to a cardiologist, who described near-death experiences (NDEs) as one of the last mysteries. He admitted that they often hear similar stories from patients. People sometimes even describe items on high shelveswhich they could not see from their position on the bed under any circumstances.
A few months later, Lorna received definitive proof. Her friend was supposed to see the same surgeon who operated on her. She asked her to ask him about his clothes. It turned out that the mentioned doctor really wears colorful scarves and sneakers of the given brand. Today, he views the afterlife with hope. She says that during her extraordinary experience, she felt like she was watching someone else, and her fear of death left her for good.
