If you are looking for a natural alternative to store-bought cosmetics, just open the kitchen cabinet. There are many ingredients hidden there that will positively affect the condition of your hair, making it fluffier and more well-groomed.

In addition to such well-known products as herbal rinse with chamomile or nettle, mask with honey or egg conditioner, you can easily prepare homemade shampoo. Its most important ingredient will be… rye flour.

Rye flour is obtained from rye and is slightly darker, grayer in color than wheat flour. It contains less gluten than wheat flour, but more fiber and minerals. It comes in various types, differing in the degree of milling, but the higher the type, the healthier and darker the flour.

Used on rye flour gently cleanses them, strengthens them and prevents electrification. This is especially important in winter, autumn and early spring, when we use hats and caps. It perfectly copes with impurities in the hair, removing them and refreshing the strands.

The hair will be fluffier and it will seem that there is more of it. Thanks to the flour, they will grow back slightly from the roots, and the hairstyle will be visibly thicker and lusher. Although the entire process of washing and rinsing, as well as preparing the shampoo, takes some time, it is definitely worth using this one home cosmetic. Also suitable for people with sensitive scalp.

Homemade hair shampoo it may work just as well as the one you bought in the store. It is more natural and does not contain harmful additives that could negatively affect the condition of the hair. However, to obtain the expected effect, you must choose the appropriate type of flour. Let’s look for the type 500 to a maximum of 720 (preferably the last one).

To prepare the shampoo, pour half a glass of warm water into a bowl and then gradually add 3-4 tablespoons of rye flour. It is best to use a mixer or whisk to mix the products. This way you will avoid lumps. The end result should be a thick paste.

Apply the ready-made rye flour shampoo in small parts to wet hair and scalp. Then we gently massage them for about 3-4 minutes. The mixture should remain on the hair for a few minutes so that the saponins it contains can cleanse the scalp. Homemade shampoo is free from chemical additives, which is why it lasts so long.

Finally, rinse your hair very thoroughly with lukewarm or cool water. After washing your hair with homemade shampoo, it is worth using a conditioner or a vinegar rinse. You can also use a rinse prepared from water and lemon juice (in 1:1 proportions). It will smooth the strands and give them shine.

Wet hair may feel a bit rough to the touch, but don’t worry about it. After drying, they will be smooth, fresh and fluffy.
