A number of police officers intervened at the site since the morning hours. The injured were taken to the hospital, their health status is not yet known. Chief Inspector Scott Kennedy said that the situation was quickly brought under control and there is no immediate danger.
According to him, the case is probably not related to terrorism. Witnesses say the man had knives in both hands and threatened people in a local store as well. Police remain in the area to reassure residents.
