Renato Gaúcho will be Vasco’s new coach for the 2026 season.63-year-old coach replaces Fernando Diniz, who left the Rio team at the end of February. This will be Renato’s third stint with the Cruzmaltino team. In 2006, he led the club to the final of the Copa do Brasil, where they ended up being beaten by Flamengo.
