Trains collide in Germany, carriages fall off a bridge and one person dies

Two freight trains collided into a railway bridge in Munichin Germany, during the early hours of this Saturday (20), authorities reported. The accident caused two carriages to plummet from the bridge onto the street below, and one person died.

Os wagons fell from a height of about 5 meters from the bridgeGerman news agency DPA reported. Munich police said the street under the bridge was closed and asked motorists to avoid the area while removal and clearance operations were underway.

A DPA said the cause of the collision has not yet been determined. According to the information, the derailed wagons were not carrying cargo and there was no risk to public safety.
