An alarm was raised on Friday night (19/6) in , when a train derailed, injuring at least three people.
The metro ran the route Chalcedon – Sabiha Gökçen Airport on the Asian side of Istanbul.
The train was evacuated immediately after the accident, with the passengers walking under the guidance of the authorities.

New line launched
The incident occurred a few hours after a new metro line in Istanbul, connecting Halkali with the airport and Arvanitkioi, was handed over to the public. The inauguration was done by Recep Tayyip Erdogan himself.
