The decision is made by the party president, Baleia Rossi, together with former mayor Washington Reis, president of the state directory of Rio de Janeiro.
O MDB canceled this Monday (9) the Actor Dado Dolabella’s affiliation. He had joined the party on the 3rd. According to the party’s statement, the decision was made in agreement with former mayor Washington Reispresident of the state directory of Rio de Janeiro.
Dado had announced his pre-candidacy to federal deputy in this year’s elections. The text classified the departure as “a victory for emedebistas”, especially women, who had demonstrated against the artist’s entry into the party.
The artist has an extensive history of violence against women.
Remember the actor’s controversies
Dolabella admitted that he attacked his ex-girlfriend Luana Piovani in 2008, in an interview with Roberto Cabrini, at the end of last year. “I was a coward because the strength of the woman towards the man is completely disproportionate”, he said, about the 2008 case in which he was accused of attacking Luana and a maid who tried to break up the fight.
However, he explains that, despite his excessive force, he only tried to push the maid Esmeralda away. Asked by Cabrini if he regrets what he did to Luana, Dado said yes: “Not only with Luana, I regret many things I did in my life.”
He was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in an open regime and had to pay compensation to the employee.
Two other cases had an impact on the actor. In 2025, during a get-together, he attacked the singer during a bout of jealousy over his ex-girlfriend, “I pushed away a guy who was trying to kiss her on the mouth, from my point of view”.
The most recent involves ex-girlfriend Marcela Tomaszewski. The separation became public after the model deleted all photos with the actor from social media and published a video that showed the argument between the two in a car.
In the images, you can hear Dado saying that the model had slapped him. At the time, the actor still confesses that he pushed her away “by the neck”. According to Marcela’s report, in addition to physical violence, she was also a victim of psychological abuse.
