Chicken baked with mushrooms it’s a great idea for a simple dinner. It is a good idea to marinate the meat the day before so that it acquires the aroma of spices. Moreover, preparing this dish takes very little time and does not require great culinary skills. You can serve the finished dish with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite bread.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 4 chicken drumsticks,
- 4 chicken drumsticks,
- 2 onions,
- 4 tablespoons of mustard,
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil,
- 2 tablespoons of honey,
- 2 teaspoons of dried thyme,
- 2-3 tablespoons of chopped parsley,
- 250 g mushrooms,
- 1 tablespoon of clarified butter,
- a pinch of nutmeg,
- salt, pepper (to taste).
It is also worth adding this to such a dinner pig ironyou can choose the classic option of white cabbage or carrot with apple.
Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Mix mustard with olive oil, honey and dried thyme. Combine with onion. Season the marinade with about ½ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper.
Coat the chicken drumsticks and drumsticks in the marinade, place them in a bowl and leave in the fridge for a few hours, preferably overnight.
Transfer the meat to an ovenproof dish. Place in the oven preheated to 200°C. Bake covered with aluminum foil for an hour.
While the meat is roasting, cut the mushrooms (not too finely, e.g. in halves) and fry them in clarified butter – briefly, so that they remain firm. While frying, season the mushrooms with nutmeg and salt.
Pour the sauce from the bottom of the ovenproof dish over the chicken. Add fried mushrooms. Bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Before serving, decorate the chicken with fresh parsley.
