CHOICE OF COMMISSIONS

The Chamber defines the permanent based on the result of the last election and the principle of party proportionality. The size of each bench or party bloc determines the order of choice and the number of committees to which each party is entitled.

Leaders can enter into agreements to adjust the division. The president of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB) reached an agreement to keep the same parties at the head of the permanent committees. The exception was the CMO (Mixed Budget Committee), which will be chaired by a PMDB member.

Despite the subtitles remaining in command, the Chamber’s internal regulations determine the election of new presidents for each committee.
