A passenger car burst into flames in the town of Kerzers in the canton of Fribourg, killing at least six people and injuring five others, according to local police.

According to the website Blick, citing an eyewitness, a man allegedly set himself on fire inside the bus, causing the vehicle to quickly burst into flames. A police spokesman has not yet confirmed the information, noting that more details will be given at a press conference in the next few hours.
Strong forces of the police and the fire brigade rushed to the scene, while according to local media, a fire brigade helicopter was also involved in the operation.
