There are many connecting lines between Austria and America. A famous one leads from Scheibbs to Nebraska. Recently there has also been one that extends from Heidenreichsteiner Straße (in Waidhofen an der Thaya) to Hollywood Boulevard (in Los Angeles). At one end of the line is a pub called Foggy Mix, which made chef Bernhard Zimmerl famous. At the other end is the Dolby Theater, where the Oscars will be awarded on Sunday. Of course, you also need food, and Austria has been in charge of catering for many years with Carinthian-born Wolfgang Puck. Puck, in turn, gets support from all over the world for the challenge, including from home, where Mike Köberl, who is successful in Vienna with the Spoon, is flying in. And also Bernhard Zimmerl, who was Chef of the Year in Austria last year, and who, in addition to Foggy Mix (two toques), recently opened a new fine dining restaurant that is already making customers rave, and which he confidently named after his own name: Zimmerl (immediately four toques).
