Oscar weekend at Multikino. Nominated films to be seen again on the big screen

The films presented will include: “One Battle After Another” – the story of former revolutionary Bob, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. The hero lives on the sidelines of society, trying to forget about his turbulent past. When his old enemy returns after many years and his daughter disappears in mysterious circumstances, Bob must face the consequences of his past decisions. The picture received 13 nominations.

During the March weekend, viewers will also see the film “Sinners”, this year’s record holder, which is nominated in as many as 16 categories. In the film, the twins, played by Michael B. Jordan, return to their hometown, wanting to start a new life and leave their difficult past behind. Once there, however, they discover that an even darker threat awaits them.

The program also included “Sentimental Value” directed by Joachim Trier. One of the loudest and most awarded films of last year, nominated for 9 Oscars. The cast included, among others: Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård and Elle Fanning. The story of two sisters confronting their difficult relationship with their father, a charismatic film director, raises complex issues of family ties. Additionally, the picture is enriched by music composed by Hania Rani.

The film “Hamnet” directed by Chloé Zhao, Oscar winner for “Nomadland”, will also appear on screens. The production tells the moving love story of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes, whose dramatic experiences become the inspiration for the creation of one of the most famous plays in the history of the theater, Hamlet.

The fifth title presented during the Oscar weekend will be “Big Marty” – a story about an ambitious hero (a role brilliantly played by Timothée Chalamet) who wants to achieve fame at all costs and fulfill the dream of a great career, even if it means breaking the rules and entering into risky alliances.

Additionally, after the announcement of this year’s Oscar results on Sunday night, viewers will be able to visit Multikino again on Tuesday, March 17, to see the winner of this year’s Best Film award during a special screening in cinemas across Poland.
