The iconic dance show returned to TV Markíza in a special 11th series. The new season called Let’s Dance: The Best of the Best started on Sunday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m. Prominent personalities from previous years presented themselves on the floor: Ján Koleník, Jakub Jablonský, Kristián Baran, Vladimír Kobielsky, Juraj Mokrý, Nela Pocisková, Gabika Marcinková, Petra Polnišová, Zuzana Porubjaková and Jana Hospodárová.
Petra Polnišová returned to the dance floor after 17 years. Her dance partner is Wilda Širwho already danced in the show with Zuzana Kubovčíková Šebová, Simona Leskovská, Tina and even won with Janka Kovalčiková. Their first dance in the show was an energetic cha cha. The couple spoke for with musician Teri Čikoš at the end of the first evening.
How did the Slovak actress feel about her first performance? “I enjoyed it very much. The reaction of the audience was amazing. I didn’t expect itdespite the fact that I saw some extras and danced like a golden egg…” Polnišová did not finish. “She danced much better than a golden egg. Five now saw each other for the first time, so she thinks that it was bad. But it was good for me. And she brought the whole of Incheba to its feet. So thank you very much to the viewers. And people just like you” Vilda Šír entered with a smile.
“Thank you very much. Because inside, I’m dancing like Laura Arcolin in my imagination. And then I see it and I’m completely shocked,” the actress admitted her worries.
At the beginning of the dance, she slipped between the dancers from a fairly high platform. Everyone should have concerns. “When they put me on it. I stood there and I had the feeling that I was standing in front of the Marian Trench. And also my twist. Really, I couldn’t even roll anymore. So the guys gradually taught me all that. I’m thankful that they gave it to me, because it doesn’t seem like it, but it just really needs to be trained a lot more. And I did what I could. And at all that I managed it. Like, basically, I’m proud of myself,” rightfully added Polnišová.
How does he rate dancing in a pair with Vilém Šír? “He’s mainly… It’s just Vilda. Vilda is an extremely funny person. Working with such a light foot. And it suits me very well, because he has no problem with anything. And that’s great. But at the same time, he is a very strict coach. And it’s interesting, because he’s so strict with me during training, even when there’s a show, no matter what I do, even if I dance it all in my head, he sticks with me and it’s a great feeling to have such a partner,” she did not spare praise for the popular Czech dancer.
