Calculation errors in funding reports could slow down green energy projects


A fundamental calculation error in the funding report from the Austrian Energy Agency (AEA) could result in new photovoltaic (PV) and small hydropower plants in Austria receiving significantly less financial support than provided for by law. Two analyzes commissioned by industry associations and available to STANDARD show: The market premium set for PV and small hydropower is set too low – with potentially far-reaching consequences in terms of the expansion of these technologies to produce clean electricity.
