In less than 24 hours, the Israeli Army has announced a , after the Iranian authorities have already confirmed the murders of the president of the Supreme National Security Council, , and the leader of the Basij paramilitary force – the Revolutionary Guard -, Gholamreza Soleimani. This Thursday, the Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, assured that Iran’s Intelligence Minister, Esmaeil Jatib, has also been killed in another bombing.
Katz, formerly Israeli Foreign Minister, celebrated that “the Iranian Intelligence Minister was assassinated tonight”, claiming that Khatib “was in charge of the murderous system and internal repression in Iran and the promotion of external threats.” Netanyahu’s Defense Minister has also delved into the slogans that accompany his justification of this joint war with the US: “Israel’s policy is clear and unequivocal: no one in Iran has immunity and everyone is on the wire.”
Also without reaching a day of the , already former director of the US Counterterrorism Center, who accused the Trump Administration of following the Government of Israel into a war against an Iran that “did not represent an imminent threat to our nation”, Katz has stated that “they will continue to hunt everyone” in reference to strong men of the regime and senior officials of the Iranian Government, ensuring that the Israeli armed forces have authorizations to attack everyone “without the need for additional permission.” He did not specify who – or what other country – they should ask for said permission.
Katz promises “significant surprises on all fronts”
Likewise, and in a more general way in the military campaign that also involves Israel in the bombing of Lebanon, with the deployment of ground troops that consummates a new invasion of foreign territory, Katz has promised that this will be another day in which they will continue to intensify their attacks.
Specifically, the Israeli Defense Minister assured that “during the day, significant surprises are expected on all fronts that will intensify the war we are carrying out against Iran and against Hezbollah in Lebanon.”
