Odds
In a simple bet, the chance of matching all six tens is one in 50,063,860. By including more numbers, the probability improves.
For example, with seven tens, the chance becomes one in 7,151,980. Bets with 15 numbers — which cost more than R$30,000 — significantly increase the chances, reaching one in 10,003.
Bolão
Another option for those who want to increase their chances is to participate in the lottery, a modality organized by lotteries. In this format, bets are placed in groups, with costs and eventual prizes being shared.
The minimum value of the Mega-Sena prize pool is R$18, with quotas starting at R$7 per participant, and can bring together from two to 100 people.
Biggest prizes in history
Among the biggest prizes ever paid out in regular Mega-Sena contests are amounts in excess of R$300 million. The largest of them was registered in contest 2525, in 2022, which distributed R$317.8 million.
Other contests also surpassed the R$200 million mark, consolidating the lottery as one of the main ones in the country.
