Damascus/The Hague – Syria has launched a US-backed plan to destroy its remaining chemical weapons. An international working group should track down all remaining stocks and destroy them under the supervision of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), said Syria’s UN Ambassador Ibrahim Olabi. The project is supported by Germany, Great Britain, Canada and France, among others.
