Three weeks after the start of the war, Iran is escalating both rhetoric and preparations. The Revolutionary Guards talk about new strategies, more modern systems and the coming retaliation.
Three weeks after the start of the war, Iran maintains an intransigent stance. The secret service of the Revolutionary Guards, according to state TV IRIB, said on Saturday that it had analyzed the “vulnerable points of the enemy” and was preparing a new wave of attacks with “new strategies and more modern systems”. The Gardai also threatened to retaliate against attacks on the country’s infrastructure. This was reported by the DPA agency, writes TASR.
According to the ISNA news agency, the foreign policy advisor to Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Akbar Velayati, said that the United States and Israel “talk so much about victory as if they are trying to convince themselves.” He added that the world will be different after the end of the current war, in his words “multipolar and with Iran as the main axis of the Islamic pole”.
A televised Persian New Year speech attributed to new Supreme Leader Mojtab Khamenei said the enemy was broken and final victory was near.
US President Donald Trump has previously stated that the US is close to achieving its goals of war against Iran. “I don’t want to call a truce. You know, you don’t call a truce when you’re literally crushing the other side,” he was quoted as saying by the media on Friday.
