João Fonseca’s campaign at the Miami Open has come to an end. On Friday night (20), the Brazilian lost to the number 1 in the world, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, by 2 sets to 0 (6/4 and 6/4), in 1h35, and was eliminated in the second round of the Masters 1000 held at the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami Gardens, Florida, in the United States.
The first set was balanced, with just one break of serve — and precisely for , who managed to “steal” Fonseca’s serve in the third game. Afterwards, each tennis player had a break pointwhich ended up not being confirmed. With this scenario, the Spaniard closed the set in the tenth game.
The second set started in the worst possible way for , who saw his serve break in the first game. In the second and sixth games, the Brazilian even had a break pointbut the Spaniard maintained his serve and, again, closed the set in the tenth game.
