This Thursday’s session (26) at the Rio Branco City Council was closed due to lack of quorum, preventing the progress of legislative work and the reading of agendas scheduled for the day.
Only councilors Ruthênio Sá, Neném Almeida, Joabe Lira, Fábio Araújo, Samir Bestene, João Paulo and Éber Machado were present, an insufficient number to open the session.
Despite the emptying, Mayor Tião Bocalom’s resignation letter should be delivered this Thursday (26). Without an active session, the document cannot be officially read in plenary, which must postpone its formal presentation to the next legislative meeting.
