The American president, Donald Trump, said again this Thursday, 26th, that he is disappointed with the lack of involvement of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the war against Iran and asked the organization to “remember this in a few months”.
The republican defined NATO as a “paper tiger” and criticized the United Kingdom’s aircraft carriers, calling them “toys” in a cabinet meeting.
Trump also commented again that the war should last four to six weeks and that the US is ahead of schedule. “The rise in oil prices and the fall in the stock market have not been as pronounced,” he added.
Regarding internal politics, the president stressed that on Friday, the 27th, measures will be announced to help American farmers and that the government will take “drastic measures” if the shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) continues.
Also present at the cabinet meeting, US Vice President JD Vance stated that American forces “have options against Iran” if an agreement does not move forward.
