Police officers from the Trenčín Traffic Inspectorate initiated a criminal prosecution in the case of threatening under the influence of an addictive substance. A 25-year-old driver caused a traffic accident in Trenčín under the influence of alcohol. Five people were injured, including two children. Trenčín regional police spokeswoman Petra Klenková informed about it.
The accident was probably caused by the fact that the 25-year-old driver of the Peugeot 406 drove in the opposite direction for unknown reasons, where he collided with an oncoming Toyota Highlander. In the accident, not only the driver of the Peugeot vehicle was injured, but also the driver of the other vehicle and his three passengers, two of whom were minors.
The police measured 2.21 percent of alcohol in the breath of the Peugeot driver. In the case, procedural acts are still ongoing with the aim of clarifying the fact.
