GPS betrays truck driver with 25 tons of cargo and leaves him stuck on the street in Navarra

A 63-year-old Portuguese-Angolan truck driver had a difficult time in Navarra, Spain, after following GPS instructions and ending up stuck on a road unsuitable for heavy vehicles. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, around 2am, in the city of Senosiáin.

The man was transporting around 25 tons of potatoes, on a trip between France and Murcia, when he was directed by the navigation system to a narrow road, where the articulated truck ended up immobilized.

According to the Guardia Civil, the situation forced traffic to be temporarily cut off on that street, until a crane was activated to remove the vehicle and restore normal traffic.

The case was shared by authorities on social media, through a video showing the truck stuck at the location, and is generating diverse reactions, mainly as an example of the risks of blindly trusting GPS indications.
