Councilors from the mayor’s base () try to promote the nomination of councilor Fábio Riva (MDB) for a vacancy in the TCM (Court of Auditors of the Municipality), with the retirement of councilor Domingos Dissei.
He will have to retire in January 2028. However, he is considering bringing forward his departure next year, after serving his presidential term.
Government leader in the Chamber since Nunes’ first term, Riva has the support of councilors. However, it will still not need the approval of the mayor himself.
Although the appointment to the vacancy is a right of the Chamber, according to the rotation defined by the organic law, Nunes tends to participate in the choice through dialogue with his closest councilors.
