Tiger Woods was involved in a vehicle rollover Friday, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. According to the same source, for the offense of driving under the influence of substances.
Authorities said the incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. a short distance from his Jupiter Island residence. According to Martin County Fire Rescue, there were no serious injuries.
The 50-year-old champion’s manager at Excel Sports did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
The third time he was involved in a traffic accident
It is not the first time that the American star is at the center of a similar incident. This is the third car accident in his career.
The most serious occurred in February 2021 in Los Angeles, when his SUV went off the road at high speed, causing serious leg and ankle injuries. He later revealed that doctors even considered amputation.

Tiger Woods’ injury history spans more than two decades and includes multiple spine surgeries, microdiscectomies, ACL reconstruction and chronic left knee problems. He underwent a seventh back operation last September, and in March 2025 he ruptured his Achilles tendon, which kept him out for the entire season.
In 2017, Tiger Woods was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after he was found asleep at the wheel of his car in South Florida. As he had stated, he had received the wrong combination of painkillers.

The uncertain future in the stadiums
Woods had just returned to action, playing with his club, Jupiter Links Golf Club, in the TGL Championship on Tuesday – his first appearance since being banned from the 2024 British Open.
It remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to a high level soon or participate in the upcoming Masters, which starts on April 9 at Augusta, with the state of his health being the deciding factor.
