CAF general secretary resigned amid turbulent times

Cape Town – Confederation of African Football (CAF) secretary general Veron Mossengo-Omba resigned on Sunday. There had previously been repeated calls for the 66-year-old to be removed. The resignation comes amid the aftermath of the Africa Cup final during a turbulent period for football on the continent.
