General Director says the PF is the target of ‘cowardly attacks’ – 03/30/2026 – Politics

The general director of , Andrei Rodrigues, said this Monday (30) that the institution is the target of “attacks of all kinds, some cowardly and vile”, and that “there has never been any direction in any investigation”.

The speech was given at an event celebrating the 82nd anniversary of the PF, at the organization’s headquarters, in Brasília.

“We are often accused of doing our job and other times, too, of having done what we didn’t do. But, look, who is interested in a strong Federal Police? Certainly not those who condone crime”, said Andrei in his speech.

The speech takes place amid investigations by , in which there was friction between the PF and part of the (Supreme Federal Court), and by , which requested the breaking of banking secrecy of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, the son of President Lula (PT).

In his speech, Andrei said that the corporation works impartially and responsibly.

“This is exactly what ends up making us targets of attacks of all kinds, some cowardly and vile, directly against valued colleagues who are leading important investigations, as well as attempts to weaken and lose assignments,” he stated.

“Know, those who attack us, that this director general will be the first voice that will defend our home, without retreating one millimeter from the fulfillment of our constitutional duties.”

Andrei also praised the president of the Central Bank, Gabriel Galípolo, the minister of the CGU (Comptroller General of the Union), Vinicius Marques de Carvalho, and also the head of Coaf (Financial Activities Control Council), Ricardo Saadi.

On Friday (27), STF minister Alexandre de Moraes limited Coaf’s coverage to police, the Public Ministry and Parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry.

The determination takes place in , reported by Moraes, on suspicions of Supreme Court ministers and their families.
