Brazil is doing well, says Petrobras president about war in Iran

Magda Chambriard, president of Petrobras, stated this Wednesday (1st) that the country is standing out positively in the face of so many instabilities, such as the war in Iran. “Brazil is doing well”, he said in CNN Talks: Energy for the Future.

O conflict in the Middle East started in February this year completed a month a few days ago but, according to the president of the state, the Brazil has become more beautiful in the eyes of the planet even with so many inconsistencies.

“A war between Russia and Ukraine has already increased costs in general. Soon after, data centers began to consume relevant goods and services, which impact, for example, energy turbines. We had been surviving these changes, until the middle east war exploded”, explains Chambriard.

The executive also highlights that other additional adversities worsened the situation: President Donald Trump’s statements in the first 15 days of war. “Trump’s speeches caused $13 trillion dollars to change hands.”

In this context, Petrobras’ role comes in to balance so many losses seen in the last month. According to Chambriard, with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and without the Middle East to supply oil, Brazil not only benefits from more exports, but also meets this demand for fossil fuel.
