Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains under “full control” of its Navy and rejected any possibility of reopening under the conditions suggested by the United States. In a statement, the force said that the strategic route “will not be reopened to the enemies of this nation through the ‘ridiculous theatrics’ of American President Donald Trump.
The demonstration comes after Trump stated that, conditioning a decision by Washington to reopening of the Straitwhere a relevant portion of the global oil flow.
Also this Wednesday (1st), the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the version presented by Trump. In an interview with Al Jazeera, he said that “statements about a call for a ceasefire are not true“.
