Consumer prices of fuel during the 13th week recorded the most significant week-to-week change in history. Compared to the previous week, diesel became more expensive by 11 cents per liter, its premium grades by 21 cents. The price of 95-octane gasoline rose by almost five cents per liter, and premium types of gasoline by four cents. The Statistical Office (ŠÚ) of the Slovak Republic informed about this on Thursday.
The price of diesel fuel increased to 1.687 euros per liter, and premium diesel fuel rose to 1.951 euros. The most commonly used 95-octane gasoline was sold for 1.577 euros per liter, an increase of 4.6 cents. Motorists bought premium gasoline for an average of 1.759 euros per liter, 3.9 cents more expensive than in the previous week. Current fuel prices have reached a higher level than a year ago, diesel by 14.1%, premium diesel by 15.5%, gasoline 95 by 3.8% and premium gasoline by 1.6%.
At the end of March, the prices of gases serving as fuel for motor vehicles also rose significantly. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) was sold at 1.619 euros per kilogram, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at 0.737 euros per liter and compressed natural gas (CNG) at 1.846 euros per kilogram. The prices of all monitored gases increased by an average of five cents per metric unit.
Ecological bioLNG gas was sold at an increased 1.883 euros per kilogram (week-on-week increase of 5.8 cents). On the contrary, the alternative fuel HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) became cheaper to the value of 2.421 euros per liter (- 33.8 cents). The price of hydrogen stagnated at 21.60 euros per kilogram.
Electric energy for charging electric cars was sold at unchanged prices, with medium-fast charging with alternating current (AC – up to 22 kW) at a price of 0.41 euros per kWh, with fast charging (DC – up to 150 kW) at a price of 0.55 euros per kWh and with ultra-fast charging (DC – over 150 kW) at a price of 0.69 euros per kWh.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the price of CNG gas was higher by 11.8%. LPG was sold cheaper than a year ago by 4.2%, LNG by 10.7% and non-fossil gas bioLNG by 10.8%.
