O Flemish was not on the field on Thursday (2) in Bragança Paulista and suffered the first defeat under the command of coach Leonardo Jardim when overcome by Red Bull Bragantino for the 3-0 score in a game held at the Cícero de Souza Marques stadium, for the Brasileirão.

Feeling the absences of names like Varella, Arrascaeta and Léo Pereirathe team was easy prey for the São Paulo team, who built the result with beautiful goals from Pitta, covering Rossi, Gabriel, shooting from the angle, and Lucas Barbosa, with a beautiful header. The Rio team still lost Pulgar, expelled at the beginning of the second stage.

Flamengo once again gets to know the defeats after six games. The last setback was precisely the loss of the Recopa title to Lanús-ARGin February. The result made the team fall to sixth place, with 14 points.

On the other side, Red Bull Bragantino came from a streak of six games without wins and she came in style, including “olé” from the fans. Enough score to breathe in the table and jump to 11th place, with 11 points.

Flamengo started the match switched off and being involved by the opponent. With many passing errors and spaced marking, Red Bull Bragantino could be seen create chances with easeso much so that, after two minutes, Herrera and Matheus Fernandes were already giving goalkeeper Rossi trouble.

Comfortable on the fieldthe São Paulo team found a gap in the Rio defense and opened the scoring with a great goal from Pitta. Juninho Capixaba made a beautiful throw before midfield, the Paraguayan dominated and, first time, covered Rossi to score, in the 16th minute.

The goal left Flamengo more disorganized on the field. The few times he had control of possession of the ball, he was unable to make his collective game flow, becoming hostage to the individuality of his players, however bumped into the well-positioned defense of the São Paulo team.

Meanwhile, Red Bull Bragantino was effective in attack. Making good use of the spaces, Matheus Fernandes and Herrera knocked paint off the post. Until, in a rehearsed corner play, Gabriel received the ball at the edge of the area and released his foot to score another great goal and extend the marker, at 38.

Flamengo returned for the second half with changes in attackin order to oxygenate and leave the marking. But the strategy collapsed after three minutes, when Erick Pulgar hit Sant’Anna in the face and was sent off after review by the video referee.

With one more, Red Bull Bragantino made even more use of the spaces and reached the third goal from above. After a corner kick, Lucas Barbosa climbed with style and tested firmly to enlarge, at nine.

The São Paulo team wanted more. The victory did not turn into a rout because the video referee intervened and disallowed Mosquera’s goaldue to a touch by Matheus Fernandes at the origin of the play. Afterwards, Rossi performed a point-blank miracle to deflect Pitta.

With the final stretch approaching, Flamengo no longer posed any danger, nor did they have the slightest control over possession of the ball, reaching the opponent’s goal only from a dead ball, but without danger. In the end, rocked by the “olé” of the fans, Red Bull Bragantino just managed the result until the final whistle.

Shortly after the whistle, there was a start of confusion on the edge of the pitch.. From the images, De La Cruz, Rossi and Emerson Royal went to attack striker Vinicinho, who had provoked the Flamengo fans during the match.
