President of Febrafite (National Association of State Tax Inspectors), Rodrigo Spada left command of the entity on April 4th. The decision was motivated by his intention to run for federal deputy for the São Paulo PSD.
In his place, his former vice-president, Maria Aparecida Meloni, took over. Spada had led the entity since 2020 and had been re-elected for the fourth consecutive term, in the 2026-28 biennium.
His administration coincided with the tax reform, in which the association participated with public hearings, technical meetings and institutional articulations.
Her successor will be the first woman to preside over Febrafite. Previously, she was the first woman elected to preside over the Association of Tax Employees of Minas Gerais (AFFEMG).
Founded in 1992, Febrafite is the entity that represents, on a national level, tax auditors of state revenues and the Federal District, bringing together approximately 30 thousand professionals responsible for the administration, inspection and collection of state taxes.
